Dr. Kera Moseley’s work is reflective of both equity and inclusion — combining academic degrees with practical experience — especially for agencies delivering care and programs to historically marginalized communities.
Some highlights include:
Researched and designed Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) for large substance abuse treatment facilities.
Served as a U.S. SAMHSA/HRSA federal grant reviewer.
Served as a Public Health Advisor for the U.S. CDC at the Los Angeles International Airport during Covid-19.
Lived and worked as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer providing basic health and sanitation education and overseeing water well building in the remote bush of Sierra Leone, West Africa.
Established Sierra Leone’s first National HIV/AIDS Prevention Program in coordination with WHO, CARE International and the Sierra Leone Ministry of Health.
Coordinated the first international conference for HIV/AIDS in Central and Eastern Europe and the Former Soviet Union in Washington D.C.
Designed and implemented a medical and mental health EHR indicator data collection system for Louisiana’s Juvenile Prisons.
Served as the Health Grants Director for the largest private foundation in Louisiana, overseeing an annual portfolio in excess of $25 million.
Established her own community counseling practice as a substance abuse Medicaid provider where many of her patients were family or criminal court involved.
